A Christian Community in the Episcopal Diocese of New York, we are organized around three values and three mission areas at the Church of the Atonement in the Bronx, where we are in residence. Our name, mission and values are inspired by Martha, Mary and Lazarus, three of Jesus’s friends who lived together at Bethany. In obedience to our Rule, we seek to “live harmoniously in our house, intent upon God in oneness of mind and heart,” recognizing that the unity this requires is a gift of the Holy Spirit. We invite you to join us in fellowship, breaking bread, and prayer as we discern how God is calling us to serve the Diocese and each other.

God our Father, whose Son enjoyed the love of his friends, Mary, Martha and Lazarus, in learning, argument and hospitality: may we so rejoice in your love that the world may come to know the depths of your wisdom, the wonder of your compassion, and your power to bring life out of death; through the merits of Jesus Christ, our friend and brother, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
Information about how to join us for prayer and fellowship will be available soon!
